Cookies

A huge case of cookies meets you head-on as you walk in the LeBakery door. They’re available every day, but when you need cookies for a birthday party or office celebration, call us and place an order. We’ll box ‘em up and have them waiting for you. We’ll be glad to custom design the icing to celebrate your special occasion.

Choose from dozens of fancy decorated masterpieces already on display… flowers, smiley faces, rainbows, so many more reflecting the imagination and talents of our decorator extraordinaire. Or place your unique cookie order using school colors, spell the birthday boy’s name, celebrate special occasions and holidays with custom-designed treats. Just give us a couple of days notice and we’ll be glad to help.

What can be better than a quick and easy breakfast treat before work or school? Or for the office coffee break or a sweet treat for friends and family anytime. Give us a call in advance at (309) 693-9190 and we’ll box the order, ready for your fast pick up!

The crowd pleasers include:

Made with a special Danish dough recipe and shaped into big rounds, these rolls are filled with gooey goodness — strawberry, apricot, cherry, blueberry, lemon, raspberry, cream cheese and a vanilla drizzle. Or chopped pecans and lightly drizzled with maple icing.

Hailing from Denmark, these 10-inch ovals of delicate buttery dough are filled with fruit jams, chocolate or caramel and gently iced. Will easily serve up to 12 people.

Breakfast or dessert, this flaky crust is filled with chocolate, Bavarian creme, caramel or fruit, and sprinkled with nuts after a bit of icing. Big — serves at least a dozen!

Savory dough with a generous addition of blueberries, cranberries or cinnamon bits make scones a LeBakery favorite. Giant-sized muffins include the healthy Morning Glory, cranberry-orange, lemon poppy seed, double chocolate and blueberry, of course. Other flavors like pumpkin and apple-cinnamon are baked when the tastes of the season demand!!

LeBakery is renowned for buttery, fresh croissants created with quality ingredients and baked fresh daily. Pair with fruit for breakfast or mid-morning break; fill with your favorite chicken or seafood salad for lunch. Don’t forget the local favorite: Pain Au Chocolate (our chocolate-filled croissant). Every day, bread baking begins while most of Peoria is still asleep. LeBakery’s head baker, Chris, has been baking here over 18 years.

He uses many old-world recipes and only the finest natural ingredients, never adding preservatives or extra fats, and soon the racks are full of some 20 kinds of fresh, healthy, delicious breads. Many of our customers say our breads are the closest they can find to those they have enjoyed in Europe. We suggest you stop in and try Black Russian (great for Reuben sandwiches), Italian Vienna, aromatic sourdough, peasant bread, or walnut raisin, to name a few. French Baguettes, fresh soft pretzels, the popular Greek or Mexican Zorbas are on the shelves, next to all-American favorites including marble rye, hamburger buns and silver dollar rolls — and so much more. A sweet treat is the perfect way to end a meal. If you don’t have the time or energy to prepare a dessert to compliment your dinner, LeBakery can meet your needs. Custom cakes, pastries, and cookies may serve this purpose, but are not the only tasty options available. We believe baking is both an art and a science and that our fabulous desserts prove it.

Apple, cherry, peach, rhubarb, strawberry-rhubarb; French Silk, coconut cream, lemon meringue; pumpkin, chocolate — all your favorites are home-made by our bakers from quality ingredients. Fruit pies are available daily and creme pies with only one day notice. Special orders are always welcome. A very popular dessert exclusively at LeBakery is our beautiful and healthy tart, the Fruit Flan. It’s a crisp tart shell filled with vanilla custard, topped with slices of peach or pineapple, kiwi, strawberries and other fruits, then painted with a generous coating of apricot glaze. Fresh, beautiful, delicious and in four sizes, from one to ten servings.

This rich, creamy dessert comes in a variety of flavors — Raspberry, Strawberry or Chocolate Swirl, Death by Chocolate (need we say more?) and seasonal flavors. You might want to impress your guests with a decadent Turtle Cheesecake — chocolate, pecans and caramel topping — or we will top a plain one with cherries, always a delight. Available in sizes to serve six to 12 people.

Decorated white and chocolate cakes are always available for a last-minute pickup and can be personalized with a message. So many other flavors and your choice of decoration are always available by special order; just give us a call. We’re very proud of our custom cakes, wonderful array of beautifully decorated cupcakes, including gourmet flavors with marvelous fillings and toppings. You’re sure to find the perfect item for your family, dinner party, baby shower or office gathering.

Thin layers of cake, with flavored mousse between, covered in chocolate ganache or cocoa powder and topped with a beautiful dollop and decoration. Black forest, tiramisu, espresso mocha, chocolate mousse…the selection changes seasonally, so stop in often to see what’s new!
